James is a U.S. Air Force veteran residing in the Seattle area. With a lifelong passion for technology, he is a cybersecurity professional and researcher credited with vulnerability discoveries in commercial security software. James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Technology from the University of Denver and maintains the (ISC)² Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), (ISC)² Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), GIAC Information Security Professional (GISP), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), and AXELOS ITIL Foundation Service Management (ITIL) credentials.

Outside of his interests in computers and cybersecurity, James enjoys trail running, collecting coins and stamps, studying history, reading, traveling, and geeking out on all things science fiction. As a futurist, he is excited about the possibilities of technology radically altering our existence.
